Kropotkin's Journal entry on Kharwys

Far in the eastern continent of Hudcresor, to the north, Kharwys is situated. Homeland to the Wood Elven race. Much of the country is engulfed in the Elder forest. Hudcresor largest and most lush forest. The country is ruled by a council of five elders called the Greys. Each situated in one of the five provinces of Kharwys: Crwys, Faryng, Paspinar, Aberstwyth, and Flomaria.

The five elders are unknown individuals, relations with Kharwys is not discussed since the culture of the wood elves is largely secluded. The country is borderless and anyone is allowed entry, the Elder forest is full of dangers and source of all Spriggans so it is deemed a very wild region.

Wood elves rarely leave Kharwys unless for pilgrimage which they perform as rite of age. Other than that, Kharwys keeps to itself when it comes to global affairs. The pilgrimage entails that the individual wood elf go and seek out an interest that has piqued them. The pilgrimage is done when the individual deems the interest attained and perfected.

The Elder forest’s origin according to wood elven history is the god Fern that they worship, in an attempt to protect his folk from the showers of Fir; a meteor storm cast upon them as curse from the Elder god Fir, he sacrificed himself and turned into a seed that grew into Xym, Kharwys’ Capital. Xym covered the ancient wood elves and protected them from the shower of Fir, and when the storm passed, Xym blossomed into a marvellous city surrounded by the Elder forest.

Xym lies in Paspinar, A gorgeous green tinted city, houses either up high in the trees or on the forest ground, connected by vine bridges. One place of interest would be the Flower. Allegedly the heart of the Elder forest. Wood elves spend their time meditating around the Flower and communing with any fauna. As it is holy to them.
